Propuesta para el plan de manejo de residuos sólidos en el Cuerpo de Bomberos del Distrito Metropolitano de Quito

Abstract:

The proposal of the solid waste management Plan was developed for the fire of the city of Quito Pichincha province. The characteristics of this project deserve to occur an analytical method, since it begins by identifying each part that characterizes the existing problems. Similarly through techniques such as observation, interviews and surveys staff, was collected on-site data allowing you to detail the current state of the solid waste management and with this elaborate this proposal of the plan. Thereby the integrated solid waste management Plan will include six programmes: public information, environmental education and community relations; environmental signage; solid waste management; maintenance and security; occupational health and environmental monitoring. It is concluded that it must implement practical measures to prevent, minimize, mitigate and correct the impacts and environmental effects that may arise from the management of the solid waste generated. The implementation of quarters for the classification of the waste at strategic points in the institution, is recommended for easy handling in facilities and a suitable final disposal.
