Propuesta urbana sustentable para la consolidación de un polo de desarrollo en la zona urbana de la parroquia Punzara de la ciudad de Loja
Abstract:
Sustainable urban processes are sustained over time through urban planning that provides structures that contribute to harmony in the relationship of the environment with society and the economy. Urbanization processes in Latin American cities are advancing rapidly and creating imbalances among the aforementioned components, which causes cultural changes in the population that result in intense consumption of resources and an increase in environmental degradation. The city of Loja, considered as an intermediate city in Ecuador and possessing a historical center that attracts all its population for the concentration of simple and specialized services; In its 2009-2023 Urban Plan, it has introduced the theory of centralities and poles of development, proposing the decentralization of the productive activities of its central area and transferring them to its other urban parishes. The present work analyzes the potentialities of the Punzara parish territory and reinforces them in order to establish it as a parochial centrality or development pole, where the activities at the scale of the inhabitants, their own and nearby, are concentrated and developed to their benefit social and economic, integrated with the existing natural landscape and with free access to public space.
