Prototype of cooperative flight system of unmanned vehicles for microfumigation, time of tasks execution evaluation

Abstract:

A prototype cooperative flight system of unmanned aerial vehicles focused on microfumigation tasks was designed and built. The prototype system consists of two unmanned aerial vehicles called initial and terminal and a ground control station. In order for the cooperative flight to be possible, a communication retransmission system was implemented using commercial telemetry modules between the ground control station and unmanned aerial vehicles used. The mission control is done by a development card which sends orders to the flight controller and this in turn the actuators. In the ground control station, a humanmachine interface is executed to establish the communication link and visualize thestatus of all the elements. With the tests carried out, it is concluded that the system is efficient since it can cover more land in the same time.
