Abstract:

This chapter presents the first results obtained during the development of Sustainable Architecture based on adequate recycling. First of all, a campaign to get the need plastic was done at the Catholic University of Cuenca, with this raw several tests were executed to determine which is the best combination between plastics. Once determined the best combination, Lego-style blocks were made and a house integrated of 1200 blocks was built. Approximately 1.5Tn of plastic that normally is thrown into rivers or goes to landfill were transformed into a real material for building, with this, real implementation of circular economy has been reached in Cuenca city.
