Psoriasis and AIDS

Abstract:

Psoriasis may be the first presenting manifestation of human inmunodeficiency virus (HIV) decreased survival. Although the incidence of psoriasis is probably not increased in HIV+ patients, the severity of their psoriasis most definitely is. We report a patient with psoriasis as the first clinical manifestation of HIV infection, succesfully treated with Etretinate 1 mg/kg/d.
