Psychometric assessment and nursing intervention in fear of covid-19. Project crimea
Abstract:
The emergence of COVID-19 and its pandemic nature has exacerbated fears around the world. Unfortunately, fear can magnify the damage of the disease itself. The main objective of the project is to determine the fear of COVID-19 in pre-pro-fessional interns in the undergraduate nursing career and to generate a nursing care plan. The research will work on two methodological studies: the first study, a set of psychometric tests will be developed to evaluate the reliability and validity of the Fear of COVID-19 Scale-FCV-19S Instrument and linguistic and cultural adaptation to the Ecuadorian context, through a pilot study with a sample of 55 students of the nursing career Azogues headquarters and will be done through a confirmatory factor analysis (AFC), using three adjustment indexes: CFI (Comparative Fix Index), RMSEA (Root Mean Square Error of Approximation) and SRMR (Standardized Root Mean Square Residual). And, the second study, a quan-titative, prospective, descriptive-correlational, cross-sectional study with a non-experimental design will be carried out with a sample of 236 interns of pre-professional practices of the nursing career. A sociodemographic survey and Fear of CO-VID-19 Scale-FCV-19S, a scale adapted to the Ecuadorian context carried out in the first methodological study of the present project, will be applied; A descriptive analysis will be carried out, the Shapiro-Wilk normality test will be applied, and differences in means will be analysed using the Student T test for independent samples.
