QM: A tool for building software quality models

Abstract:

A QM tool used to support the IQMC method for the construction of quality models for COTS domains was developed. The tool supports the organization of quality models in a taxonomy of COTS domains for supporting the reuse of the models. The tool also follows a client/server architectural pattern, with a client program that implements the presentation and domain layers of the application and a server program to get and store the data using HTTP/XML, JAVA® servlets and MySQL. Its use during participation in two real selection processes of requirements management and document management tools was also described.
