Quality of life and health: Associated factors in women with gestational diabetes mellitus
Abstract:
A study was conducted to determine health management and its correspondence to quality of life among women with gestational diabetes mellitus and a review of health statistics in Ecuador during the years 2017-2018. This study corresponds to the non-experimental design of a descriptive, correlational, retrospective type. The study population was delimited with respect to the data obtained from the Statistical Registry of Beds and Hospital Discharges, the sources of information were taken from the statistical records of the INEC in its annual registry for reports, because the population was reported in detail of hospital discharges, days and average stay by age group, according to cause of morbidity, the object of the study was made up of 739 were treated with O24 Diabetes mellitus in pregnancy (CIE10), out of a total of 10. 256 were hospitalized for diabetes in 2017. It was concluded that this problem in their gestation period with the following age groups, most have an age range between 25-34 years represented by 46.3%, while the second is the age between 35-44 years with 39.1%, the age range with lower percentage were those of 20-24 years with 12.3%, where for the city of Milagro we have 9 women with gestational diabetes mellitus representing 1.3% of 2017.
