Quick and dirty parameter estimation of AC machines using a modified LMS technique
Abstract:
On this work the problem of parameter estimation of AC machines is addressed, using an impedance matching technique for tuning a LMS filter structure. Due to its simplicity the filters used in this work, for the adaptation of the induction machine parameters, are of the finite impulse response (FIR) type. The problem of the adaptive algorithm is to find the coefficients of the filter that minimize, in a mean-square fashion, the difference between the desired signal and the output of the filter. From these filter coefficients is possible to obtain AC machine parameters suitable for vector control.
