Abstract:
Chagas disease, parasitic infection or American Trypanosomiasis is a disease caused by the Trypanosoma cruzi parasite, it is spread by the bite of reduvid insects, or triatomines (bedbugs), constituting one of the major health problems in Central and South America, Due to immigration, it also affects citizens in the United States, it is estimated that in the world there are between 6 and 7 million people infected by the Trypanosoma cruzi parasite, for this reason the present investigation inquires about this vector disease and know the Medical and scientific advances regarding Chagas disease for this, the research carried out on this disease is analyzed, especially the way it affects children because they are the most vulnerable, for this reason the family and the teaching staff need to know the implications in this area, as well as having specific resources and programs to prevent the reproduction of the transmitting insect. It would be important to apply a remedial plan to recover the student, if he has missed classes, as this is an almost silent disease that in its acute stage can go unnoticed, with danger of involvement in the cognitive area in its chronic stage. The issue is interdisciplinary because it professionally involves doctors and teachers, it is necessary for academic staff to become familiar with the symptoms of this disease to know how Chagas disease affects students to intervene more effectively in the teaching and learning processes. ensure that this vulnerable group does not lower their academic performance.
