RESEARCH SKILLS OF DENTISTRY STUDENTS

Abstract:

Research training has a direct impact on the quality of training of university professionals. This scenario evaluates the level of training in research skills of students in the final stages of their dental career at a university in Ecuador. A total of 103 9th and 10th semester students were selected to take the survey and evaluate the level of training in research skills, and 7 professionals were selected to identify the research skills that these students should have. The results showed that the level of training in predoctoral research was almost moderate, the main limitations being the identification of scientific problems, retrieval and processing of data and information, but ultimately 90% of the above has achieved training in the study. The deficiencies detected in the diagnosis have been corrected.
