ROBSNA: Social robot for interaction and learning therapies
Abstract:
This article presents the techniques and methods used for the development of a social robot, whose purpose is to interact with children who have learning and psycho-social disabilities. This article presents the interaction algorithms used, the design of the hardware architecture, design of the software architecture and the theories applied to design the physical appearance of the robot. Additionally, this article presents the set of software and hardware tools used to obtain a socially intelligent robot capable of interacting naturally and autonomously with human beings and capable of responding to stimuli from the environment. © 2014 Springer-Verlag.
