Receiver for ISDB-Tb standard with low-cost SDR and interactive application extractor

Abstract:

This article presents the design of a Full-Seg receiver according to the ISDB-Tb standard that supports interactive applications. It is made up of two fundamental parts. The first is the one in charge of receiving and processing the DTT signal that contains the transmitted Transport Stream. For this purpose, a low-cost SDR is used, which complements its functionality with the GNU Radio software. Secondly, the received Transport Stream is analyzed. It was necessary to create Python scripts, which are responsible for extracting the DSM-CC sections, generating the data carousel and the object carousel, for finally extracting the files that constitute the interactive application.
