Recuperación mejorada de petróleo mediante biotecnología para el Campo BEV
Abstract:
The paper describes the biotechnology for enhanced oil recovery research application in the BEV, by using selected strains of anaerobic and facultative-thermophilic bacteria is described. Â In mature fields (Saavedra L., 2014) is necessary to implement improved methods to produce much of the hydrocarbon that remains trapped in the deposits as is the case of field BEV. This process involves the injection of a given volume of bacterial strains in an aqueous mixture of potassium chloride or formation water. The bacteria (Nuñez, 2000) travel through the pores of the rocks and converted the reservoir into a bioreactor. The application of this technology enables many advantages such as: catabolism of long paraffin and alkanes. The results of experimental tests showed an average of 0, 45 cp of viscosity reduction. Estimates of incremental production from the project gave a total of 19 BOPD, representing 18% additional …
