Recursos tecnológicos móviles y aprendizaje significativo de las Ciencias Naturales.


Abstract:

This study researched technological resources and their contribution to develop a meaningful learning experience in the subject of Natural Sciences in "Provincia del Chimborazo" High School, located in Guayaquil, Republic of Ecuador. The aim of this research was to provide a foundation for the development of meaningful learning experiences through the use of technological resources and mobile devices. This project was essentially a mixed, bibliographic, desk-based, field and evaluative research within a research/action process. Several means of collecting information have been used such as interviews, surveys and direct observations, as well as access to documents. Study findings revealed that students showed deficiencies regarding a meaningful learning, one of the root causes is the structure of class sessions which are overly memory-based and have poor access to innovative resources. The incorporation of technological resources into the teaching/learning process, enabled improvements in order to increase the levels of understanding and knowledge contextualization from the students.
