Rehabilitación urbana del tramo de la avenida Emiliano García Llamas, de la ciudad Catacocha, cantón Paltas.

Abstract:

The proposed thesis addresses the intervention of the public space; as a starting point the street is taken as the main urban element since it is a configurator constituent of the city that allows the socialization and appropriation of space. Nevertheless, the poor conditions currently existing in the concerned section both physical and social, do not make the proper use and appropriation of space possible by the citizens; therefore, it is determined that the urban rehabilitation is the appropriate intervention for the area of study, covering physical, economic and social aspects to generate a space that satisfies the needs of the inhabitants and tourists in order to enhance cultural identity; along the mentioned lines, the intention is to recover the physical and functional qualities of the area involved in relation to the public space. This thesis begins with the gathering of conceptual foundations and municipal laws in order to develop the analysis so that the issues of the involved area are determined; following these guidelines, strategies are stablished along with a preliminary project to reestablish the quality of urban image and to promote the humanization of the public space.
