Relationship between knowledge and quality management in companies in Ecuador’s industrial sector

Abstract:

This research aims to analyze the relationship between knowledge management and quality, in Ecuador’s industrial sector. The importance is that quality management can contribute to continuous improvement in knowledge management according to the dimensions: creation, storage, transfer, application and use of knowledge. The methodology used is descriptive and inferential statistics. The population under study corresponds to 276 companies located in the main cities of Ecuador in the industrial sector. The results show that quality management practices enhance the creation and transfer of knowledge through the efficient implementation of processes.
