Relevance in redesign of careers in communication. UTPL case study


Abstract:

The debate on curriculum in communication is maintained at least 30 years in Latin America. In Ecuador thanks to the Organic Law of Higher Education are redesigns of the careers of communication. The article presents the application of the principle of relevance to the redesign of the career of communication of the Universidad Técnica Particular de Loja. The methodological tools employees are document review, interviews, surveys and focus groups. The redesign is relevant to the needs of the area and is justified by reason of epistemological horizons, structural cores and trends of the profession.
