Repercusión psicológica del cáncer de mama en mujeres atendidas en el Hospital General Guasmo Sur
Abstract:
In order to know the psychological impact suffered by women suffering from breast cancer, as well as to identify the emotional, cognitive and behavioral state of the patients, a descriptive, explanatory, cross-sectional and field study was conducted in 2017 with patients Confirmed with breast cancer in the Guasmo Sur General Hospital. The results showed that 58% of the women who presented this pathology were between 41 and 50 years of age, 18% between 51 years and more, 15% between 31 and 40 years of age and 9% between 20 and 30 years of age. year old. In relation to the marital status of the affected patients, the free Union predominates 61%, second place married 27%; third single place 9% and fourth place divorced 3%. On an emotional level, depression exceeded 56% in affected women, followed by fear of their prognosis and what they have to face with 37%, in the last sadness with 7%. As we know breast cancer is a problem that affects women around the world so it is recommended to carry out prevention campaigns, inform society about the pathology so that it stops being feared and solidarity with women suffering from breast cancer; because with perseverance you can get ahead and overcome breast cancer.
