Research skills training through field trips and the impact on the formation of professional competences

Abstract:

This paper analyzes the importance of research as an engine of knowledge management by university students. It presents the fundamental elements that should characterize research as a training axis and as an approach for the formation of professional competences. Social commitment and civic responsibility as values associated with professional performance are linked to the competence of the tourism professional. They institute the center of attention in the process of formation in the contemporary university. For the realization of the work, methods of theoretical, practical and empirical level have been applied, which allow to evaluate the systematic and effective application of research as a source of knowledge construction.
