Resilience and emotional intelligence in the rehabilitation of patients


Abstract:

The objective of the research is to analyze resilience and emotional intelligence in the rehabilitation of drug-dependent patients cared for in the therapeutic community Camino a la Paz-Ecuador. The methodology used refers to a study under the hermeneutical paradigm, with a mixed, qualitative-quantitative approach, the study of a descriptive field type, supported by a documentary review. The foundations of the analysis start from information obtained from the real context, for which the following were applied as instruments: the resilience scale and; the emotional intelligence scale. The results indicate that it exists between the number of patients who have low resilience and a poor emotional state, with the number of them who are newly admitted and accumulate little treatment time in the Institution. It is concluded that resilience techniques positively influence the rehabilitation of drug-dependent patients.
