Responsabilidad Social Empresarial. Su contribución en el desarrollo sostenible de la producción cafetalera: estudio de caso, Zona 7 del Ecuador, 2017
Abstract:
In the parishes of San Pedro de Vilcabamba, Palanda and Marcabelí, belonging to Zone 7 of Ecuador, agricultural activities are very important economically and socially. In such places the production and sale of coffee, as an economic base and of sustenance for the units of agricultural production, stands out. This investigation determined the existence or not of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) practices in the production of coffee for coffee farms belonging to or not to a coffee association. The objective was to evaluate the economic, social and environmental behavior and the level of CSR in the final research under the methodology of Sarandón and Flores (2009), Gallardo (2017) and Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) methodology for the social part In addition, the sustainability index and cluster clusters (clusters) were applied that identify the characteristics that allow to be profitable, sociable and friendly with the environment. In the results obtained a high level of CSR practices (68%) was obtained for the associated farms and an average level (58%) was obtained for non-associated farms. Each indicator identifies those that generate positive effects that inhibit competitiveness.
