Responses of the mind in people deprived of freedom
Abstract:
The objective of this research was to determine the correlation between mental flexibility and coping responses on people who are deprived of freedom (PPLs) of the Social Regional Rehabilitation Center, Sierra downtown, North of Latacunga-Ecuador. The methodology used for the present study was of a correlational type, with a quantitative approach, non-experimental design, with a cross-sectional and document-bibliographic mode. The investi-gated population was 80 PPLs of the Stage of Minimum Security for Men, in ages correspond-ing between 25 and 55 years of Ecuadorian na-tionality. For the variable mental flexibility, the Neuropsychological Battery for Executive Func-tions and Front Lobes (BANFE) was used. Sub-test Card Classification, and for the coping responses variable the Adult Coping Response In-ventory (CRI-A). The results showed that there was a significant positive correlation between the variables, concluding that the evaluated in-dividuals can inhibit a wrong response and gen-erate new solution alternatives to use different coping responses to a stressful event.
