Respuesta del cultivo de fréjol Caraota (Phaseolus vulgaris L.) a la aplicación foliar complementaria de tres bioestimulantes. Tumbaco, Pichincha

Abstract:

At the School of Agricultural Sciences of the “Universidad Central del Ecuador”, Bio-stimulants: b1 (Organic Mix), b2 (Newfol Plus) and b3 (micronutrient enriched Liquid Organic Fertilizer) were evaluated along with doses, d1 (Low dose, 25% less that the recommended amount), d2 (Medium dose, recommended amount) and d3 (High dose, 25 % more than the recommended amount) during the complementary foliar fertilization of Caraota kidney beans. A Random Block Design was used with a factor arrangement of 3 x 3 + 2 with four repetitions. The micronutrient enriched Liquid Organic Fertilizer presented the best results regarding the variables: Plant height, Number of pods per plant, Weight of 100 grains and Yield; Newfol Plus regarding: Pod size, Number of grains per pod. The Medium Dose reached a better result regarding the variables: Number of pods per plant, Weight of 100 grains and Yield; the High Dose regarding: Pod size and Number of grains per pod. The best results for plant height were obtained using the Low Dose.
