Rethinking training in foreign language as an interface in consolidating scientific culture in the Ecuadorian university

Abstract:

This work values English as an important support tool in formative research and in the generation and transfer of knowledge from referents of interdisciplinarity and integration of knowledge and pedagogical actors. It is an exploratory, descriptive study that analyzes from a prospective perspective the potential of English to promote the development of scientific culture in the university. A proposal is evaluated for the use of English in the integrating projects in the State Technical University of Quevedo. The analysis of trends in other university contexts that has allowed basing the transition to a conception of this discipline more consistent with the purposes of academic excellence.
