Retraction notice to “Characteristics and electrical conductivity of graphene and graphene oxide for adsorption of cationic dyes from liquids: Kinetic and Thermodynamic study” [J. Ind. Eng. Abstract:

The editor reviewed and confirmed that the paper had duplicated all Tables, Figures, and Graphical abstract from the paper, “Kinetic Study of the Adsorption of Synthetic Dyes on Graphene Surfaces” published in Jordan Journal of Chemistry 9 (2014) 267-278 (http://www.jjc.yu.edu.jo/Issues/Vol9No4PDF/2.pdf). The above paper is essentially redundant without proper citation. In fact, the only difference between these two papers is the way they have presented their Figures, in the paper of JIEC (2015) the authors have plotted their data using scatter with smooth line and markers but in the previous publication (2014) the same data have been plotted using scatters with only markers. One of the conditions of submission of a paper for publication is that authors declare explicitly that their work is original and has not appeared in a publication elsewhere. As such this article represents a severe abuse of the scientific publishing system. The scientific community takes a very strong view on this matter and apologies are offered to readers of the journal that this was not detected during the submission process.
