Abstract:
In most of the bird species one of the main essentials components from the reproduction cycle is the building of nest because it complies with a primordial paper in the growth and development. Some bird`s species incorporate pieces of aromatic green trees in their nest by the rich content of volatiles compounds of them. Some biographical references have been reviewed such as 843 publications with information about the researched topic; furthermore, 190 studies were considered in which were cited 41 bird`s species and 91 aromatic plant`s species. Through a descriptive analysis was possible considered to Peter H. Wimberger who is the author with most relevance in publications related to the use of material aromatic green in nest for birds. With this study was possible to conclude that in Ecuador the number of publications related with the use of aromatic green material in nest for birds is scarce since Harold Greeney, the ornithology with 125 publications in Ecuador from 1998 to 2010, only has a register about this topic.
