Risk factors and indicators of gender violence in women members of community banks in Chimborazo. Ecuador

Abstract:

The purpose of the research was to determine the presence of risk factors and indicators of gender-based violence in a sample of 251 women members of community banks in Chimborazo. Ecuador It was found that although women have been gaining more power within the family and community, there are still marked roles that differentiate men and women. More than 80% of women refer to having never been victims of gender violence, finding low percentages of women mistreated physically, psychologically and sexually by their partners at some time in their lives.
