There are numerous types of attachments are available for the production of prostheses. The attachments offer variety of features and benefits as the aesthetics of the patient, retaining that offered once placed in the oral cavity for prosthesis. For the preparation of these attachments it is important that the dentist indicated well treatment, and at the same time with the help of the dental technician gain knowledge specific and technical skill to produce . The objective of this research is to analyze the concepts basic envelope break forces, in the preparation of removable partial denture, the main advantage in this case the patient will be stake, taking into account their integrity physics; also has its disadvantages which should see the value of their cost much, they are complicated and are subject to wear and fracture, giving us result in the breaking forces applied on the prosthesis is much advantage because it provides balance and movement to the prosthesis, reaching the conclusion that it is very important to make a good diagnosis of oral conditions the interocclusal space, as well as its location and type of function, to do a good job in the preparation and adaptation of attachments in the partial denture.
