Route of spirituality and the singular path the seven crosses in Quito, Ecuador


Abstract:

The wealth of religious cultural heritage that Ecuador has in very large, mainly, because when talking about art in the country is to talk about religion directly. With the arrival of the Spanish conquest began with the construction of impressive buildings that ratified the presence of the Catholic religion in the country. One of the greatest exponents of this wealth is the Quito Historical Center, located in the capital of the country. This article sets out as its main objective to describe and analyze the Spirituality Route to which the singular route of the seven crossings is added, with the purpose of integrating an alternate route that enhances religious tourism at the same time throughout the year in the city of Quito. The methodology used is a descriptive analysis based on primary and secondary sources that address the origin, history and actions that have been developed so far in this journey. Among the main conclusions highlights that the historic center has unique elements that allows the insertion of a new tourist experience, particularly by the proximity and concentration of the attractions in a small space, a fact that facilitates the development of the tourist route and allows to project tourism religious throughout the year.
