SIMULATION OF NUPTAKE, N LEACHING, NUPTAKE CONCENTRATION, TRANSPIRATION AND DRAINAGE IN

Abstract:

Materials and Methods The aggregated model, was formed by modifying and combining two separate molels,(i) the reduced state-variable tomato growth model TOMGRO (Jones et al., 1999; Ramirez et al. 2004) that simulates dry matter (DM) production, and (ii) the PrHo model that sinulates evapotranspiration of greenhouse-grown vegetable crops (Fernández et al., 200 la I'll estimates ETo with a simple adaptation of the FAO-Radiation method to estinate II (Fernández et al., 2001a; 2001b; Bonachela et al., 2006) and uses accumulated the mal time to estimate Kc values (Fernández et al., 2001 a; 2001 b; Orgaz et al., 2005) An cquatin relating crop N content to DM production was applied to TOMGRO DM output ti mulate Nuptake. In its original form, PrHo calculates ETc for soil-grown crops (with und mulch) in an autumn-winter growing cycle. It was assumed, for substrate, that t I was cal to transpiration. Input data for …
