Safety of Robotic Living Donor Right Hepatectomy (RLDRH) in Donor Patients: A Systematic Review and Meta-analysis
Abstract:
Methods Multiple databases were searched from inception to September 2020 to identify studies that compared RLDRH with ODRH or LADRH. Mean differences (MD) and relative risks (RR) were calculated with random-effects and restricted-maximum likelihood estimator for continuous and dichotomous outcomes, respectively. Results Four cohort studies with 517 donor patients were included. A total of 151 donors (mean age= 32.5±4.6) underwent RLDRH, 118 (mean age= 36.9±12.1) LADRH (mean age= 36.9±12.1) and 248 ODRH (mean age= 35.2±5.9). Only one study compared RLDRH and LADRH. We found that the amount of blood loss (BL)(MD:-155.7 95% CI-214.6,-96.8, ml) was lower with RLDRH. No differences were found in hospital stay (HS), postoperative pain (PP), peak total bilirubin (TB), and complications Clavien-Dindo (CD) I-II and III-IV. Four studies comparing RLDRH and ODRH found that CD I …
