Satisfacción percibida de los cuidados del parto y puerperio inmediato y mediato en usuarias atendidas en el servicio de obstetricia del Hospital Vicente Corral Moscoso. Cuenca 2019


Abstract:

Background: user/patient satisfaction is that rational or epistemological experience based on previous expectations and the behavior of the service, it is influenced by perspectives, moral values, culture, personal needs and the health structure as such. Objetive: to determine the satisfaction perceived by the users about the care of childbirth and immediate and mediated postpartum care in the obstetrics service of the Vicente Corral Moscoso Hospital, 2019. Methodology: an observational, descriptive, cross-sectional study, to determine the level of satisfaction perceived by users, about the care of childbirth and immediate and mediated postpartum care, in obstetrics service of the Vicente Corral Moscoso Hospital. The COMFORTS scale was used. In the statistical analysis, frequency distribution, percentages and measures of central tendency were used. Results: The predominant age group was 80.8% young adults, 39.4% cohabit unmarried couples, 56.9% high school, 80.3% unemployment, 50.7% rural residents. Of the total sample, 199 (56.06%) users are satisfied with the attention received globally. In the dimension, childbirth care, 65.4% corresponds to very satisfied; care in the puerperium, 48.7% very satisfied; newborn care, 53% corresponds to satisfied; and logistics and environment, 51.8% are satisfied. Conclusions: the dimension with the highest level of care satisfaction during the period of childbirth and the dimension with the lowest level of satisfaction of the care concern in the newborn. The main factors that cause dissatisfaction are the information received, the attention provided to the couple or support person, the time the nurse spent teaching the couple the care of the postpartum woman and newborn, the handling of the newborn before a choking and the cleanliness and the quantity and quality of the food during the hospital stay.
