Schwartz scale validation for economics and business graduates

Abstract:

The scale used for the values of Schwartz S (1992) has been validated, accordingly to what was done by Olmos & Castillo (2011) for economics and business graduates, following the recommendation in the doctoral thesis of Maluk O (2018b), in order to have a reliable scale to measure values in Ecuadorian entrepreneurs in business schools and institutes. A structural model between 3 of the 4 values of Schwartz S (1992) was identified, with acceptable adjustments indicators. The higher order construct of self transcend, has been identified as a final value that appears in a model with other values, that explain a high final variance of 0.975. To self enlarge is a mediating construct between openness to change and self transcend. It is recommended to use the constructs listed here for the training of future entrepreneurs.
