Scientific research in higher education as a contribution to the educational model


Abstract:

The implementation of an educational model by research, with an essentially constructivist tendency or approach in higher education institutions reinforces the role of teaching and the social impact of the work of universities, who find in the territo-ries the materialization of the academic discourse in practical applications and viable solutions to different problems. The objective of this article is to determine the relationship between the training of the tutor teacher and the quality of teaching in research at the Universidad Regional Autónoma de Los Andes, Ecuador, as a measure for the selection of research profes-sors. The study population was 402 teachers who participated in a training process at the University of Uniandes, with the particularity of using a method of expert selection that was responsible for evaluating the selected sample. Three instruments were used for data collection: one to determine the experts who evaluate the teachers of the University of Uniandes, another to determine the satisfaction of the students of the law career and the last to determine the quality of research teaching of students.
