Scoping review of the work measurement for improving processes and simulation of standards

Abstract:

Any company, regardless of size, must consider in order to overcome the economic situation caused by the pandemic the process innovation and resource-saving parameters. Methodologies such as work measurement should be used to generate efficient and reliable information through which timely decisions are made. The current research addressed a scoping review of the literature on the most used techniques for determining standard times. Therefore, thirty-three scientific articles were selected to answer the three research questions posed on this study. In addition to the results, it was determined that the use of predetermined time systems are instruments that allow the quantification of a job before executing its production.
