Security and tourism: Security plan for tourist areas in manta-Ecuador

Abstract:

The present investigation determines the importance of attending security with an integral vision to reach the development of a tourist destination, basing the research in the city of Manta, Province of Manabí, Ecuador. Stressing the importance of general a security plan to reach the positive perception of a destination and therefore its consolidation. For this research it was used, a descriptive method, the type of the investigation was carried out with a mixed approach, so some tools were used such as interviews, questionnaire for surveys, observation. Allowing to obtain as a result a security plan scheme, which must be adapted to the conditions of each destination. Being able to conclude that security is a precursor variable to the positive and stable change in the territorial development of a tourist destination.
