Security of data in information technologies and communication in the Venezuelan bank. Legal and policy framework

Abstract:

This paper analyzes the Venezuelan legal and policy frame in the matter of security of data in information technologies and communication in the banking sector. The methodology was of documentary type - descriptive and, based on the revision of instruments with a scale Lickert type to measure the public policy of science, technology and innovation, as well as the Venezuelan laws related to the subject of the security of data. The results reveal, in the first place, that these instruments of policy are directed, directly and indirectly, to regulating the security of data in information technology considering that they affect the design of the strategies of the Venezuelan bank directly. Secondly, that the subject is considered as a problem of State and as so it is treated.
