Semantic Web Based on Ontology to Measure the Control of Promotion Indicators of Ecuadorian Universities

Abstract:

Traditionally, the control actions of promotion indicators in Ecuadorian universities have been reduced to those that year coordinators carry out to revert the results, essentially centered on the information that the attendance and promotion cuts offer. The control of vertical efficiency, associated with a student cohort, is also limited in terms of diagnostic, prognostic, and intervention facilities. For this reason, the objective of this research is to measure the control of promotion indicators by making use of the information contained in the semantic web, based on ontology, implemented in Ecuadorian universities.
