Sensor configuration in ubiquitous computing: Cameras vs ontologies

Abstract:

The video sequence analysis is a very important topic at the time of using this strategy for surveillance in security places. Semantic representation of the success of the video: person recognition, tracking objects, vehicles, dangerous places, generation of alarms is the principal goal of this work from the storage of the collection of the data obtained by means of IP cameras. We use ontologies t] represent the events-success from IP cameras to identify people in one place, vehicles in the security zone from rules to know what does this event do and trigger the rules at the right time.
