Silk road. New alliances for the participation of Latin America

Abstract:

The objective of this research is to analyze the initiative proposed by the Republic of China called New Silk Road and the perspectives of participation offered to Latin America considering a new international order of a multipolar nature. Through a documentary research with bibliographic design, the significance of the Silk Road for the global economic strengthening and the multipolar international order is analyzed, identifying the opportunities for Latin America in the context of the strategic project that will sustain the Eurasian development of the next decades. The results of the investigation allow observing a relaunching of relations between Latin America and the Republic of China based on global challenges, which allow new strategic alliances for the articulation of international relations and exchange. With the Silk Road project, Latin America is offered an opportunity to increase exports, better air, maritime and digital connectivity, cooperation in the industrial, technological, energy and 4.0 industries.
