Simulation of the FREEDM Green Hub with Solid State Transformers and Distributed Control

Abstract:

Simulation results for the FREEDM green hub system with Solid State Transformers (SST) are presented in this paper. Distributed control that enables the system to work in three operation modes is discussed. The performance of the controller is verified through simulations. A simplified model for the SST that significantly reduces the simulation time is also presented.
