Abstract:

In this modern competitive world, quality is the element that makes the difference. Economic growth has brought on a greater supply of goods and services, including the provision of customs services which are closely tied to foreign trade. In our country there are many companies offering customs services and COIMPEXA Customs and CIA. Ltda. is one of the most important ones due to the fact that it has risen to the challenge of implementing a System of Quality Assurance, in accordance with requirements found in ISO 9001 Macro process for Customs Agencies. This challenge involves a series of continuous improvement processes for the company that to respond to customer demands; hence, this paper attempts to systematize the entire process of change that Customs Agency Co. COIMPEXA. Ltda. must follow in order to achieve its goals. The purpose of this research is strictly academic, and has been conducted responsibly in order to achieve the proposed objectives. In that measure, it has been organized in accordance with the investigative outline which stems from an introduction that states the scope of work, a first chapter that refers to the description of the Quality Management System ISO 9001, a second chapter on General information about the company, a third chapter that contains the Customs Agency Quality Management System Diagnostic, a fourth chapter in which requirements for ISO 9001 for Customs Agencies is developed, a fifth chapter with information on internal audits, and a sixth chapter of conclusions and recommendations. Functional flow charts, the quality manual, and functions manuals are annexed and are not contained in the main body of work due to their extensive length.
