Abstract:

The following project will be presented through the financial analysis for the company of Poultry Rodriguez; the company is dedicated for the up-bringing of poultry. A two-period financial statement will be used to make a comparative breakdown. Tools such as the horizontal and vertical analysis, equilibrium point, and an application of financial indicators, will help to have a better understanding of the financial situation by identifying the critical points of the company, as well as its strengths. To understand what position of the company within the industry to which it belongs to, an analysis will be presented together to show the industry's average financial ratios and will be compared to several aspects, such as liquidity, profitability, leverage, efficiency, and return on investment. This way everyone will have an idea of where our company stands when compared to the rest of the companies who are interested in the same business activity. And to have a better, clearer focus of the financial situation, it´s has been analyzed under the criteria of expert financial analysts. We have already interpreted the results derived from the analysis of the aspects that are negative for the poultry. A number of proposals are for better decision making which is aimed at optimizing our resources. In addition to the information provided by the administration and by the observation of production processes that were made by the thesis writers of the Rodriguez poultry farms, some recommendations and suggestions that are tailored to meet the objective of the present work are also provided.
