Situational Awareness of Leadership in Ecuador and Its Applicability in the Multilevel Military Leadership Model

Abstract:

This chapter presents the development of an investigation aimed at identifying, in the Ecuadorian civil and military population, the predominant leadership style, according to the Full Range Leadership Model (FRLM), based on the Multifactor Leadership Questionnaire (MLQ), which was adapted and validated for the Ecuadorian context. It also presents the progress of research aimed at validating a multilevel military leadership model, in which the leadership styles are related to the levels of military leadership and institutional competencies required by the leader, through a data collection instrument that it will be validated.
