Six-Axis lower-limb exoskeleton control system based on Neural Networks

Abstract:

One of the pressing problems in people with motor disabilities in Ecuador is the high impact of this phenomenon, which is influenced by poverty and social marginalization. Currently, research and technological development aims at the applications of robotic devices for therapeutic and rehabilitation purposes, areas with little development in this country. This article presents the design of a control system for an exoskeleton, to assist in rehabilitation processes for children with partial or total lower limb motor disability. The device, adaptable to the different anatomies of patients, has a control and data acquisition system that allows its operation either directly by the user or externally by a physiotherapist.
