Social Responsibility Web System as a Management and Dissemination Tool for Cooperative Principles

Abstract:

Currently, the use of web-based systems has become the most appropriate means for automating processes and dissemination of results, having as a fundamental advantage, the quick access to information from any point where there is an Internet connection, without restriction of its geographic location. In this article, the process of operating a web system, designed and implemented as a free tool to support the management of information on social responsibility for Ambato's Cbkp_redit Unions. The objective of this system is to diagnose, manage, evaluate and disseminate the results achieved in terms of social responsibility and compliance with the cooperative principles by cbkp_redit unions. In order to achieve this objective, qualitative and quantitative indicators were included in the software that are later combined in optimization functions, which allows to measure the level of achievement reached for these indicators. Among the main results obtained after applying the system in one of the Cbkp_redit Unions are: a) by redefining its strategy and strategic objectives, it improved the coverage of services in rural areas and implemented four recycling programs, and b) in the principles of voluntary association and training, it was able to achieve acceptable levels of social responsibility, thus improving its corporate image for its clients, potential strategic allies and the government.
