Social media, a new scenario for tourism promotion: An analysis of the most representative Galician spas in facebook


Abstract:

Galicia is considered one of the best Spanish regions assessed for Thermal Tourism is concerned, recognition has contributed to the mineral-rich waters and the quality and number of spas, represented in Spain under the guise of spas. The development of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) has had a positive impact on the recovery and development of the spa activity in recent times. In this sense, and within ICT, the significant advancement of Web 2.0 and Social Media, has been essential in the promotion and encouragement of tourism enterprises in general and spas in particular. Thus, this research focuses on the study of the most representative spas of Galicia in Facebook, analysis through Fanpage Karma tool, which provides data on the situation in which these establishments are in the Social Media.
