Social skills and aggressiveness in childhood and adolescence
Abstract:
Social skills are the specific behaviors or social skills required to competently execute a task of an interpersonal nature. The stage of childhood and adolescence, are essential to learn and practice social skills, the scientific community has con-sidered these stages are privileged for the development of these skilled behaviors and for social, academic and psychological functioning. Aggressiveness is a quality associated with violence or destruction towards others or oneself. The main objective was to review the definitions, theories and assessment instruments for both social skills and aggression. A literature review was conducted. In this study we will specify the definition and theories of social skills and aggressive-ness, as well as the assessment instruments.
