Solar cell mathematical modelling comparing single and double diode under three parameter approach
Abstract:
This paper presents a solar cell mathematical modelling and its irradiance and temperature influence, varying Rs parameter for I-V curve. The study has considered two study cases, a single and a double diode solar cell, solving by Newton Raphson iterative technique. In both scenarios, the solar cell is represented by schematic models, where the currents are defined by Kirchhoff's law. The solar cells equations describe the shortcircuit current and open-circuit voltage behaviour in I-V curves. The module Sunergy CSUN225-60M is implemented MatlabSimulink comparing the model development for the proposes mathematical model. The results show that irradiance and temperature have direct impact in photogenerated current, and open-circuit voltage, while Rs parameter only affects inversely the maximum power point.
